Designer: Gladys Agsalud

Gladys Agsalud, owner and designer of Alba Couture, is a native of the Philippines and obtained her Bachelor and MBA degrees from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Designing garments for her dolls since the age of 9, through the years Gladys has continued to gain more and more knowledge of garment manufacturing . After 5 years of operating her bridal salon and continuous research and development in bridal gown design, Gladys launched Alba Bridal, a collection of contemporary and sophisticated wedding gowns. The name is a tribute to her late grandmother who took care of her during her childhood and inspired her to accomplish her dreams.

Listed in the 2001 International Who's Who of Entrepreneurs and the 2000 Edition of the National Register's Who's Who in Executives & Professionals, Gladys was recently nominated for the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii's Entrepreneur of the Year.
